The Obverse, in the center of the coin, depicts the Greek Parliament building. Almost the entire inner edge is engraved with two circular inscriptions: “50 ΧΡΟΝΙΑ ΑΠΟ ΤΗ ΜΕΤΑΠΟΛΙΤΕΥΣΗ” (“50 YEARS SINCE THE RESTORATION OF DEMOCRACY IN GREECE”) and “ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ” (HELLENIC REPUBLIC in Greek), which frame the design. At the bottom, below the image, is the mintmark of Athens, while on the right, inside the representation of the Parliament, is the monogram of the designer. At the top, to the left and right of the Greek flag above the building, are the years “1974” and “2024.” On the outside are 12 five-pointed stars, the symbol of the European Union. The coin's Reverse is the new common side of Euro coins, with the face value '2' on the left and the European continent on the right, overlapped by the inscription "EURO". Six vertical lines with a star at each end are placed behind the Europe's image.
Edge: finely milled, with the inscription "ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ *" (Hellenic Republic), in incuse.

150th anniversary of the birth of children's book author Penelope Delta

The Obverse, in the center of the coin, features a portrait of Penelope Delta, a Greek writer of children's and young adult books who is still very popular today. Almost the entire inner edge is engraved with two circular inscriptions: “ΠΗΝΕΛΟΠΗ ΔΕΛΤΑ 1874-1941” (“PENELOPE DELTA 1874-1941”) and “ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΗ ΔΗΜΟΚΡΑΤΙΑ” (HELLENIC REPUBLIC in Greek), which frame the image. Between the inscriptions and the portrait, the symbol of the Athens mint is on the left and the minting year is on the right. On the right, above the writer's shoulder, is the author's monogram.
